Willem-Alexander Devlies

Associate

Willem-Alexander is an associate at ALTIUS and advises a wide range of Belgian and international clients on all aspects of sports law, including regulatory matters, disciplinary proceedings and employment-related disputes. His experience includes acting for athletes, clubs, intermediaries and sports federations.

Willem-Alexander obtained a Master of Laws from the Catholic University of Leuven and a Master of International Sports Law from ISDE, Madrid, and gained international experience at the European Volleyball Federation (CEV) in Luxembourg and a renowned sports law firm in London.

Willem-Alexander acts on a regular basis as an ad hoc clerk in arbitration proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. He is also a member of the Dutch-speaking Chamber of First Instance within the Royal Belgian Pigeon Sports Association.

Willem-Alexander is recognized by Who's Who Legal as a Global Leader in the field of sports law.
